Job Description
Advisor – Stakeholder Engagement at ATI supports coordination and partnerships across regional agricultural transformation programs. The role engages government institutions, value chain actors, and development partners to improve communication, market linkages, and program visibility. It also supports stakeholder events, agricultural market coordination, and strategic partnership development.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Collaborate with Directors and Project Officers to plan and implement communication and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Analyze stakeholder interests, influence, and communication needs to support effective engagement strategies.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with regional government bureaus and institutional partners.
- Support strategic partnerships that enhance ATI program visibility and implementation effectiveness.
Agricultural Market Linkages
- Work with project teams to disseminate information on agricultural products produced across regions.
- Facilitate linkages between producers, aggregators, processors, exporters, wholesalers, and other market actors.
- Support initiatives connecting horticulture and agricultural products to sustainable markets.
- Strengthen coordination among input suppliers, importers, exporters, and value chain stakeholders.
Event Coordination & Communication
- Support planning and coordination of stakeholder workshops, meetings, field visits, and events.
- Ensure effective stakeholder participation and communication visibility during events.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and media engagement activities where applicable.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Provide regular updates and communication reports to senior management.
- Support information flow between SATC regional offices and ATI headquarters.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Director aligned with organizational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- MSc or PhD in:
- Plant Science
- Agronomy
- Agricultural Extension
- Rural Development
- or related agricultural fields.
Experience
- Minimum:
- 12 years of experience for MSc holders, or
- 6 years for PhD holders.
- At least 6 years in leadership or managerial positions.
- Experience in organizing stakeholder events and multi-sector coordination is highly desirable.
Technical & Core Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and relationship management skills.
- Fluency in English and Amharic (written and spoken).
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
