Job Description
HIS Construction LLC, a Maryland-based general contractor, is seeking a motivated Assistant Estimator to support the Lead Estimator in quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, vendor communication, and project file management. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates seeking hands-on experience in construction estimation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- Entry-level candidates with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
- Assist in compiling bid proposals and documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material pricing
- Maintain organized project files and documentation of scope changes
Technical Skills:
- AutoCAD or Electrical CAD proficiency
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Reliable laptop/desktop and internet connection
- Quiet and professional home workspace
