Job Description

The Cashier is responsible for handling cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing petty cash operations in compliance with organizational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and deposit cash and cheques
  • Record daily cash transactions and prepare reports
  • Disburse petty cash based on approved documents
  • Process authorized payments and advances
  • Reconcile cash balances with records and documents
  • Maintain proper documentation of all transactions

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business, or related field

Experience:

  • 0 years (Master’s) or 3 years (Bachelor’s)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic mathematics knowledge
  • IFMIS system knowledge (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in federal and local languages
