Job Description
The Individual Contractor will assist in carrying out contract management activities in line with the UN Procurement Manual, Rules and Regulations, and the Procurement Practitioner’s Handbook, ensuring compliance and efficiency in procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- The Contract Management Assistant will:
- Support the Contract Management Unit in procurement and contract-related activities.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with UN Procurement Rules and Regulations.
- Provide administrative and technical support in contract processing and documentation.
- Monitor contract performance and maintain accurate contract records.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and relevant departments.
- Ensure adherence to established procurement procedures and best practices.
Job Requirements
Education
Relevant academic background in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
Relevant experience in procurement, contract management, or administrative support roles.
Competencies
- Good knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, compliance-focused environment.
Languages
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of French is an asset.
