Job Description
Safaricom Ethiopia is seeking a Digital & Financial Services Audit Manager to lead audit and assurance activities across digital and financial services operations. The role focuses on technology-enabled auditing, internal controls, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, data analytics, cybersecurity, and process improvement in high-volume transactional environments.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Upper Second-Class degree in Technology, Business, or a related field from a recognized university.
Professional Qualifications:
- CIA, CISA, CPA, ACCA, CRISC, or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in data analytics and technology-enabled auditing.
- Experience using analytics tools such as IDEA and/or Python.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and automated controls implementation.
- Experience conducting IT audits and risk assessments.
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and present actionable insights.
- Strong risk identification, assessment, and mitigation skills.
- Experience delivering audit engagements and strategic assurance projects.
- Understanding of financial services regulations, AML/CFT, data protection, and consumer protection.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity risks affecting digital financial services, payment systems, and customer data.
- Ability to analyze financial data, transaction flows, and revenue processes.
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving capabilities.
