Job Description
Position SummaryMega Store PLC is seeking an experienced and results-oriented General Accounting Division Director to lead the company's general accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and maintain compliance with Ethiopian tax and financial requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Lead preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage import and landed-cost accounting, including:
- LC settlement
- Foreign exchange transactions
- Customs cost allocation
- Ensure full compliance with tax obligations, including:
- VAT
- Withholding tax
- Profit tax
- Coordinate and manage external audits.
- Design, implement, and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
- Maintain appropriate accounting documentation and standards.
- Lead, coach, and appraise the accounting team.
- Manage team performance against BSC and OKR targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
