Job Description
Lovegrass Agro Processing Plc is seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and support organizational growth. The role involves developing HR strategies, overseeing recruitment and talent development, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian labor laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, and managing HR functions across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Advise senior leadership on workforce planning and people management.
- Drive employee engagement and organizational culture initiatives.
Talent Management
- Lead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
- Design leadership development and succession planning programs.
- Develop career growth frameworks for employees.
Performance & Reward Management
- Establish performance management systems.
- Design competitive compensation and benefits structures.
- Implement employee recognition and reward programs.
Learning & Development
- Develop and oversee company-wide training programs.
- Support technical, safety, leadership, and agribusiness skills development.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor, tax, and pension regulations.
- Lead HRIS implementation and HR budget management.
Employee Relations & Team Leadership
- Foster positive employee relations and workplace culture.
- Promote employee well-being and community engagement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and support HR team members across company sites.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Master's degree or HR certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior HR management role.
- Experience in FMCG companies is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws, tax, and pension regulations.
