Junior Architect – CCECC Ethiopian Branch

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural working drawings and detailed design plans.
• Develop BOQs and construction documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with Ethiopian building codes and construction standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technical teams during project planning and execution.
• Apply creativity and technical knowledge to develop practical and innovative design solutions.
• Produce 2D and 3D architectural visualizations using advanced design software.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits when required.
• Support design review and project coordination activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Engineering.
• Additional certifications or training in architectural design software are an advantage.

Experience

• Less than 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–3 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience participating in architectural design projects such as offices, hospitals, banks, or similar buildings.
• Understanding of Ethiopian architectural standards and construction practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in architectural software including:
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite
• Good understanding of building codes, materials, and structural principles.
• Strong architectural visualization, drawing, and presentation skills.
• Good time management and project coordination abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow technical instructions.
• Chinese language ability is an added advantage.
