Job Description
Job SummaryThe Loan Officer will manage the full loan lifecycle, including credit assessment, loan appraisal, collateral evaluation, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery. The position will also contribute to member recruitment, savings mobilization, financial literacy, and maintaining a healthy loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit risk analysis, loan appraisals, and collateral evaluations.
- Manage the loan process from application and disbursement through recovery.
- Develop strategies to recruit new members and increase institutional savings.
- Conduct field outreach, community programs, and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of default.
- Implement appropriate recovery and collection strategies.
- Provide members with information on financial literacy, loan products, and savings services.
- Collaborate with Financial Mobilization, Finance, and Member Services teams.
- Ensure a seamless service experience for members.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Cooperative Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, lending operations, or customer credit management.
