Mechanic (I) – Bahti Engineering PLC

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
• Repair and maintain foundation drilling rigs and construction equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment issues.
• Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain maintenance records and repair reports.
• Support equipment servicing schedules and breakdown response.
• Replace damaged or worn-out mechanical components.
• Coordinate with engineering and site teams on equipment requirements.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures.
• Support equipment performance improvement activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Level V TVET in:

• Automotive Technology
• Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Related fields

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Heavy equipment maintenance
  • Construction machinery repair
  • Mechanical servicing

Required Skills

• Knowledge of heavy machinery systems.
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Good technical reporting skills.
• Ability to work at different project locations.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
