Job Description

The Risk & Compliance Officer ensures that the organization complies with financial, regulatory, and internal standards, mitigates operational risks, and monitors the application of internal controls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance with microfinance regulations, internal policies, and financial laws.
  • Conduct risk assessments and design risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review internal controls and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Assist in preparing operational and financial compliance reports.
  • Provide guidance to staff on compliance and risk management best practices.
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of KYC principles and branch operations.
  • Proficiency in financial management and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel and Word mandatory).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BA Degree/Level IV in Accounting, Management, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience.
