Job SummaryKerchanshe Trading Company is looking for a qualified Senior Payment Accountant to support the timely and accurate processing of company payments and financial obligations, including creditors’ accounts, taxes, payroll-related obligations, and other payables.

Job Summary
Kerchanshe Trading Company is looking for a qualified Senior Payment Accountant to support the timely and accurate processing of company payments and financial obligations, including creditors’ accounts, taxes, payroll-related obligations, and other payables.
The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying payment documentation, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, preparing payment documents, and supporting periodic financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify that all source documents are original, accurate, and represent valid company liabilities.
- Confirm that all required supporting documents are attached to payment requests before processing payments.
- Verify petty cash payments and forward them for appropriate approval.
- Review monthly payroll and report findings to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents required for payment, audit, and tax purposes.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Support the timely settlement of payroll tax, pension, staff provident fund, and other financial obligations.
- Ensure proper formats and documentation are used before and after payments are processed.
- Review and monitor accounts to ensure payments remain up to date.
- Check and verify payment request supporting documents and prepare cheques for authorized signatures.
- Close monthly reports and prepare periodic financial reports as required.
- Code expenses against the correct budget lines and accounts.
- Safeguard cheques, payment approvals, and other financial source documents.
- Help prevent and identify unintentional overpayments.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- BA or MA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Management, Business Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Professional, ethical, and well-organized approach to work.
- Strong attention to detail and financial data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, email, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of accounting software, particularly Peachtree Accounting Software.
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
