Job Summary
Kerchanshe Trading Company is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to lead the planning, design, configuration, and management of the organization's enterprise network and data center infrastructure.
The successful candidate will oversee firewalls, routers, switches, servers, Microsoft 365, CCTV, backup and disaster recovery systems, domains, hosting infrastructure, and ERP infrastructure support, ensuring a secure, reliable, highly available, and scalable IT environment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Network Planning, Design & Configuration
- Plan, design, and implement LAN/WAN, VLAN, campus, and branch connectivity.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and network devices.
- Implement VPNs, access control lists, network segmentation, and other security controls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot L2/L3 routing and switching issues.
- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, IP addressing schemes, and configuration baselines.
Server & Infrastructure Management
- Administer Windows and/or Linux servers, including file, print, DHCP, DNS, and directory services.
- Manage virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware.
- Manage storage solutions including SAN/NAS.
- Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime.
- Troubleshoot server, software, and network problems and provide L3 support.
- Maintain system inventory and technical documentation.
Data Center Management
- Oversee data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, structured cabling, and physical security.
- Manage server racks and equipment lifecycle.
- Plan data center capacity, availability, and scalability.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, vendor visits, and contractor work.
Microsoft 365 & Email Administration
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Manage user accounts, aliases, shared mailboxes, and mailbox delegation.
- Monitor email flow, spam filtering, DLP policies, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Support mobile access and troubleshoot email-related issues.
Domain, DNS & Web Hosting
- Manage organizational domains and subdomains.
- Configure DNS records including A, MX, TXT, CNAME, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Manage domain renewals and SSL certificates.
- Coordinate website and portal hosting.
- Maintain hosting platforms such as IIS, Apache, cPanel, and cloud platforms.
- Ensure secure access to public-facing applications through SSL/TLS and appropriate firewall controls.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Design and manage backup solutions for servers, databases, and critical systems.
- Conduct backup verification and restoration testing.
- Maintain and improve disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
CCTV & Physical Security
- Manage CCTV systems, cameras, NVR/DVR systems, storage, and monitoring platforms.
- Ensure adequate footage retention and system availability.
- Troubleshoot CCTV connectivity, storage, and performance issues.
- Coordinate with vendors when required.
Security & Compliance
- Enforce access controls, encryption, and system-hardening practices.
- Manage endpoint protection and vulnerability scanning.
- Support incident response and infrastructure security initiatives.
ERP & Business Systems Support
- Provide infrastructure-level support for ERP systems.
- Ensure server, database, and network readiness and availability.
- Coordinate with ERP vendors and internal teams on integrations, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Support ERP user access, backups, and uptime monitoring.
Team Leadership
- Mentor junior system/network administrators and IT support staff.
- Collaborate with development, security, network, and business teams.
- Participate in infrastructure planning and IT projects.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional networking certification such as CCNA/CCNP is preferred.
Experience:
- BSc holders: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- MSc holders: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
