Job Description
Kershi Microfinance Institution S.C. is seeking a highly competent, visionary, and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership and oversee the institution’s overall operations. The CEO will ensure compliance with National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) and Ethiopian Deposit Insurance Fund (EDIF) regulations financial performance, and lead the institution’s digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management.
- Ensure compliance with NBE and EDIF directives.
- Drive profitability, deposit mobilization, and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
- Lead the transition to an automated core banking system.
- Report to the Board of Directors and implement board decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- BA/BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in banking or microfinance.
- At least 4 years in a senior management position.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of NBE regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Clean disciplinary and criminal record.
