Cyber Security Expert - National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM and EDR.
• Implement encryption, authentication and access-control measures.
• Monitor networks and investigate security incidents.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and execute incident-response plans.
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Conduct cybersecurity awareness training.
• Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend security improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of network security, cryptography, malware analysis, cloud security and zero-trust architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash or PowerShell scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred

• Threat-intelligence platform experience.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and secure SDLC.
• Red-team/blue-team experience.
