Job Description

Mohas Consult is seeking a Data Management Junior Officer to support data collection, encoding, verification, reporting, and participant tracking activities under the EDGE Program. Maintaining accurate trainee records, coordinating participant follow-up, supporting trainer communication, and ensuring high-quality project data management throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management

  • Collect, review, verify, and encode participant information into project databases and tracking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, assessments, completion status, and employment outcomes.
  • Conduct data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance activities.
  • Update participant records and ensure timely database synchronization.

Trainee Follow-Up and Tracking

  • Conduct routine follow-up calls and communications with trainees.
  • Track participant attendance, progress, and completion status.
  • Monitor trainees at risk of dropping out and support retention efforts.
  • Follow up with graduates to collect employment and income-related information.
  • Maintain updated participant contact records and communication logs.

Trainer Coordination

  • Serve as a communication focal point between trainers and the project team.
  • Share participant lists, schedules, and training updates with facilitators.
  • Collect attendance records, assessments, and training reports.
  • Support training logistics and participant communications.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare routine data summaries, participant tracking sheets, and progress reports.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and milestone reporting requirements.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
  • Assist with data quality assessments, audits, and verification exercises.

Compliance and Data Protection

  • Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Maintain secure handling of participant information.
  • Support implementation of data quality assurance protocols and documentation standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Economics, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry, database management, project administration, or monitoring and evaluation support.
  • Experience working in training, youth development, NGO, or development projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with digital data collection and management platforms is desirable.

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with databases, online forms, and data management systems.
  • Strong data encoding, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical data handling.
