Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare, review, and submit monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

- Support annual external and internal audit activities.
Asset & Capital Management
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with asset governance policies.
- Oversee capital expenditure forecasting, tracking, and reconciliations.
- Support capital investment planning aligned with business priorities.
Taxation & Compliance
- Support tax planning and ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and CCBA policies.
- Review tax computations and returns in collaboration with local and group tax teams.
- Ensure import/export compliance with applicable regulations.
Governance & Internal Controls
- Implement and monitor internal controls aligned with SOX and IFC requirements.
- Ensure compliance with treasury, accounting, and audit standards.
- Identify and implement finance process improvements.
Business Partnering
- Provide financial insights to finance and operational teams.
- Collaborate with CCBA HQ Finance teams on taxation, IFRS, treasury, and governance matters.
- Maintain relationships with outsourced financial service providers.
People Management
- Promote accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and support junior finance team members.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate business qualification is an advantage.
- CA (SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
- Higher Diploma in Taxation is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of financial accounting and financial management experience in a corporate or FMCG environment.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
- Financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and treasury management.
- Tax compliance and financial governance.
- Risk management and internal controls.
