Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall administrative, financial, and operational management of ALPA-Ethiopia. The role supports the Executive Team by implementing strategic goals, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, managing staff and resources, and strengthening organizational efficiency and performance.

Eligibility Requirements

Age: Above 30 years

Education:

  • Master’s Degree (preferably in Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years relevant work experience
  • At least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Executive Team to support operations and strategic planning
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulations, and legal requirements
  • Develop and enforce office policies and procedures
  • Plan and coordinate administrative systems and improve workflows
  • Prepare, present, and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyze financial data and prepare regular reports for management
  • Supervise staff, manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
  • Oversee procurement, inventory control, and facilities management
  • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and partners
  • Organize meetings, conferences, and General Assemblies; record minutes
  • Handle correspondence and maintain secure filing systems
  • Ensure timely reporting to regulatory bodies and the Executive Team
