Midwife – Saglan Wajee General Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn assessments and provide safe, appropriate midwifery care.
• Monitor mothers and fetuses during labor and conduct normal deliveries within professional scope.
• Promptly identify and report complications and danger signs.
• Provide essential newborn care, including newborn assessment and resuscitation when required.
• Support breastfeeding and conduct postnatal monitoring.
• Provide health education and counseling on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, nutrition, hygiene, and newborn care.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery from a recognized government university.
• Minimum CGPA of 3.00.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in Afaan Oromoo and Amharic is mandatory.
