Job Description
The Planning, Project Design and MEAL Officer will lead the organization’s project planning and proposal development processes while ensuring effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning and proposal development processes.
- Conduct community needs assessments and baseline studies.
- Develop logical frameworks, indicators, and monitoring tools.
- Implement Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems.
- Monitor project progress and evaluate program outcomes.
- Collect and analyze project data for reporting and learning purposes.
- Prepare periodic reports for management and donors.
- Ensure accountability and transparency in program implementation.
- Provide technical support to project teams on monitoring and evaluation activities.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Project Management
- Development Studies
- Statistics
- Social Sciences
- Or related fields
Work Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years relevant experience in NGOs or development organizations.
- Experience in project planning, proposal writing, and MEAL systems.
- Strong background in monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
- Excellent report writing and documentation ability.
- Experience using monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Strong computer skills including data analysis software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
