🎯 Role Summary

The officer will coordinate training, skills development, internship readiness, work-based learning and mentoring activities for young women and other disadvantaged youth.

The role involves working closely with TVET institutions, local service providers, employers, government offices, youth and women's groups, and other stakeholders to ensure training is relevant to local labor-market needs.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct workforce and skills-gap assessments
• Assess the capacity of TVETs, LSPs, OSS and host enterprises
• Design and deliver market-aligned training programs
• Support work-readiness, employability and entrepreneurship training
• Coordinate technical skills training with TVETs and industry experts
• Facilitate work-based learning, coaching and mentoring
• Coordinate Training of Trainers (ToT) programs
• Track registration, training delivery, learner progress and internship readiness
• Monitor training quality and host-enterprise engagement
• Organize career fairs, job-matching and employer engagement events
• Build partnerships with TVETs, employers, government and community organizations
• Contribute to reports, case studies, lessons learned and program reflections
• Provide regular updates on implementation, challenges and recommendations
• Support certification and transition-to-work pathways

🎓 Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills in:

• Education Management
• Development Studies
• Business Administration
• Human Resources Management
• Economics
• Social Sciences
• Or a related field

💼 Experience & Skills

• Relevant experience in training program management
• Experience designing, delivering and evaluating training programs
• Experience in workforce development, employability, youth/women skills development or TVET
• Experience conducting training needs assessments and developing curricula/materials
• Experience with blended or digital learning is an advantage
• Experience working with TVETs, employers, government agencies and communities
• Strong facilitation, communication and coordination skills
• Good reporting, organizational, problem-solving and digital skills
• Working English and local-language skills
• Understanding of gender transformation, inclusion and safeguarding
• Ability to travel frequently to project sites, woredas and stakeholder locations
