QA Engineer – Manual & Automation-Arif Pay

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

• Review requirements and user stories and create appropriate test plans.
• Write clear and comprehensive test cases.
• Execute manual tests across web, mobile, and backend systems as applicable.
• Perform regression testing before software releases.

Test Automation

• Build and maintain automated test suites to improve test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain testing frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Bug Reporting & Collaboration

• Identify and document software defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Record expected and actual results and provide supporting evidence.
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues.
• Verify fixes and ensure defects are properly resolved.

Quality Improvement

• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to development and testing processes.
• Maintain test documentation.
• Track and report quality metrics.

Release Readiness

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Help ensure software releases meet established quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in software QA testing, depending on the organization's requirements.
• Experience with manual and/or automated software testing.
• Strong understanding of test cases, bug lifecycles, and regression testing.
• Experience with one or more automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
• Ability to write automation scripts and maintain test frameworks.
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods/status codes.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear.
• Understanding of Git and CI concepts is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience testing Android and/or iOS mobile applications.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or Locust.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and test automation integration.
• Experience with QA reporting, quality metrics, and dashboards.
