Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Check postings and coding done by general accountants
• Review journal entries and ledger balances
• Identify abnormal accounts and pass corrective journal entries
• Reconcile receivable, payable, and bank accounts
• Prepare monthly activity reports and analyze aging of debtors and creditors
• Compile year-end adjustment data
• Reconcile stock values, goods in transit, and VAT with management accounts
• Ensure weekly system backups are taken
• Check payroll deductions and ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with internal and external audits

Qualification & Experience

• MA/BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related fields
• 4–6 years relevant work experience
• Knowledge of accounting software is an added advantage
