Senior Architect – CCECC Ethiopian Branch

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural working drawings and design plans.
• Develop BOQs, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure all architectural designs comply with Ethiopian building codes and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical teams during planning and execution phases.
• Apply creative and technical approaches to develop practical and innovative architectural solutions.
• Produce high-quality 2D and 3D architectural visualizations.
• Participate in client meetings, design discussions, and site visits when required.
• Support design coordination and project implementation activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Engineering.
• Additional certifications or professional training in architectural design software are an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design (Senior-level).
• Proven experience in architectural projects including offices, hospitals, banks, or similar buildings.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian architectural standards and construction practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in architectural design software:
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • SketchUp
  • Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and structural principles.
• Excellent architectural visualization, drawing, and presentation skills.
• Strong project coordination and time management abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow technical directions.
• Chinese language ability is an added advantage.
• The position requires strong architectural design expertise, proficiency in design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Candidates with experience in office, hospital, bank, and similar architectural projects are encouraged to apply.
