Job Description
Amhara Bank S.C. is seeking a qualified Senior Credit Risk Analyst to assess, monitor, and manage the Bank’s exposure to credit and financing risks.The position holder will analyze loan portfolios, and support the development and implementation of credit risk management frameworks in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the overall loan portfolio for asset quality, delinquency, and default trends.
- Conduct sectoral and geographic risk assessments to identify concentration risks.
- Analyze key credit risk indicators, including NPL, cost of risk, coverage, and concentration ratios.
- Participate in developing, reviewing, and implementing credit and financing risk policies and procedures.
- Support the development of risk appetite, limits, guidelines, and risk management programs.
- Prepare regular credit and financing portfolio reports for management.
- Provide analytical inputs to support credit risk decision-making.
- Participate in the development and implementation of divisional plans and budgets.
- Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support junior staff in achieving effective performance.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- BA in Economics, Econometrics, Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of banking experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as an Officer in risk management, credit analysis, or credit management.
