CSRC is seeking a Senior Program Officer — RGP to support the technical and operational delivery of a regional governance programme under the direction of the TAU Director.The successful candidate will play a central coordination role across the Technical Assistance Unit, supporting programme planning, stakeholder engagement, regional convenings, reporting, logistics, and technical activities.

The Civil Society Resource Center (CSRC) is a civil society support organization based in Addis Ababa. With more than six years of experience, CSRC works to strengthen the operational capacity, credibility, and sustainability of civil society organizations while supporting institutional and governance reform processes.

📋 Position Summary

CSRC is seeking a Senior Program Officer — RGP to support the technical and operational delivery of a regional governance programme under the direction of the TAU Director.

The successful candidate will play a central coordination role across the Technical Assistance Unit, supporting programme planning, stakeholder engagement, regional convenings, reporting, logistics, and technical activities. The position will also deputize for the TAU Director on operational matters when required.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Support the TAU Director with day-to-day programme coordination and implementation of work plans.
  • Coordinate regional convenings, including needs-assessment validation workshops, peer-learning exchanges, and specialized trainings.
  • Coordinate with regional partner institutions and designated focal points.
  • Prepare for monthly coordination calls and quarterly joint programme reviews.
  • Contribute to the design and quality review of technical outputs.
  • Support development of needs-assessment materials, training content, and knowledge products.
  • Track programme progress against the MEL framework.
  • Support preparation of quarterly and donor reports.
  • Coordinate travel, logistics, and administrative arrangements for staff and consultants.
  • Maintain programme documentation, correspondence, and project records.
  • Support engagement with civil society organizations, national partners, and CSO stakeholders.
  • Represent the TAU at selected technical meetings and coordination forums when delegated.
  • Perform other programme and coordination duties assigned by the TAU Director.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in:
    • Law
    • Political Science
    • International Relations
    • Development Studies
    • Public Administration
    • or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in programme coordination or management.
  • Experience in governance, civil society, or regional/international development programming is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting donor-funded projects.
  • Familiarity with donor compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of the region and its institutional architecture is a strong advantage.
