Site Fleet Controller – HEINEKEN Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor daily fleet operations and safety compliance.
• Supervise and support drivers.
• Follow up on mandatory driver training.
• Monitor driving violations and prepare violation reports.
• Verify driver licenses and vehicle information.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules.
• Track vehicles using GPS and telematics systems.
• Conduct regular truck and tire inspections.
• Follow up vehicles undergoing maintenance.
• Monitor tire retreading and tire performance.
• Track driver journeys and vehicle breakdowns.
• Manage and reconcile vehicle fuel consumption.
• Collect and verify fleet maintenance invoices.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fleet reports.
• Analyze fleet performance and recommend improvements.
• Support transportation planning activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are followed.

Requirements

Education: TVET Level III in Automotive Engineering or related field.

Experience & Skills:

• 2–4 years of relevant fleet-management experience.
• Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills.
• ERP experience.
• Knowledge of Ethiopian transport and insurance legislation.
• Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and warehousing.
• Fleet tracking/GPS experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Financial understanding is an advantage.

Special Conditions:

• Must be available for emergencies, including 24/7 situations.
• Willingness to travel within Ethiopia and abroad when required.
