Job Description
Médecins Sans Frontières – Belgium (MSF-Belgium) is seeking a Specialized Technician IT – Coordination to perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of ICT equipment and systems. The role ensures proper functioning of MSF IT infrastructure while supporting staff with technical assistance and maintaining equipment according to MSF standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Installation & Maintenance
- Perform advanced installations, maintenance, and repairs of ICT systems and equipment.
- Conduct required tests after repairs or maintenance work.
- Schedule and implement preventive and corrective maintenance for ICT equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of networks, servers, printers, photocopiers, and other office systems.
ICT Asset & Inventory Management
- Manage ICT and non-ICT equipment inventory.
- Conduct physical stock counts and update inventory records regularly.
- Maintain asset records, barcode scanning, and asset registration in TMS.
- Keep records of loan documents and donation certificates.
Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Support staff training and user assistance on IT systems and telecom equipment.
- Assist the ICT team in maintaining backup systems and network infrastructure.
- Support Windows system deployment and device management.
Coordination & Reporting
- Prepare maintenance reports and documentation.
- Inform supervisors about equipment damage, theft, or technical issues.
- Work with other technicians or supervise small teams when required.
- Support emergency interventions by preparing ICT equipment.
Job Requirements
Education
Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in the IT field.
- Experience working with NGOs or international organizations is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Advanced networking (Cisco Meraki, Fortinet)
- Microsoft Office 365
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Office equipment maintenance
- Basic CCTV systems
- Microsoft Intune device management
Language
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of additional local languages is an asset.
