Job Description

Plan International Ethiopia is recruiting an SRH Coordinator for the SRH Alliance Project. The position will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of SRH Alliance activities at regional, zonal, and woreda levels.

The Coordinator will work closely with alliance partners, government stakeholders, CSOs, and local implementing organizations to strengthen access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and information, particularly for young people and communities in conflict-affected and hard-to-reach areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee implementation of SRH Alliance activities at regional and woreda levels.
  • Support quality SRH service delivery, SRH education, advocacy, evidence generation, and CSO strengthening.
  • Contribute to annual plans, DIPs, quarterly work plans, and project implementation planning.
  • Coordinate project staff, implementing partners, and government stakeholders.
  • Monitor regional budgets, expenditures, financial forecasting, and compliance.
  • Prepare quality project reports and donor-required documentation.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with government offices and other stakeholders.
  • Organize trainings, workshops, and capacity-building activities.
  • Lead project reviews, monitoring visits, and partner meetings.
  • Represent the project in coordination forums, technical working groups, and alliance platforms.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and technical support to project staff.
  • Support MERL/MEAL activities, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and learning.
  • Document lessons learned, best practices, challenges, and success stories.
  • Strengthen collaboration with research institutions, universities, and technical agencies.
  • Promote gender equality, youth participation, disability inclusion, safeguarding, and community engagement.
  • Support peer education, champions of change, survivor-centered programming, and intergenerational dialogue.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Reproductive Health, Sociology, Development Studies, or a related social science field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in regional project management, particularly alliance or consortium programs.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).
  • Experience working with multiple implementing partners and complex projects.
  • Knowledge of SRH and GBV strategies/policy frameworks, teenage pregnancy, child marriage, and FGM.
  • Experience in project planning, budget management, and training delivery.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of regional and local contexts.

Languages

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of relevant regional/local languages is essential.
