Job Description
Marie Stopes International Ethiopia (MSIE) is seeking a qualified and experienced Team Leader to join its team in Nekemte., the Team Leader will play a key role in ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective team performance. The position will involve managing and supporting team members, monitoring performance, and contributing to the achievement of program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily team operations and ensure achievement of project goals and objectives.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and support to team members.
- Promote a collaborative, productive, and professional working environment.
- Ensure implementation of quality standards, policies, and service-delivery protocols.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, challenges, and improvement strategies.
- Monitor team performance using established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide constructive feedback and support continuous staff development.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and relevant partners to ensure effective collaboration.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance and project outcomes to the Area Program Manager.
- Identify challenges affecting team effectiveness and service delivery and support appropriate solutions.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of project goals and objectives.
- Ensure program implementation is aligned with MSIE protocols and donor requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of service quality and team performance.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as:
- Health
- Social Sciences
- Management
- Or another related discipline
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in team management, project coordination, and service delivery is an advantage.
- Experience with quality assurance and performance monitoring is desirable.
Language Requirement
Proficiency in Afan Oromo is mandatory.
