Job Description
Fremnatos Trading PLC is seeking a qualified Accountant to support financial operations by maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial documents, and ensuring compliance with company policies and Ethiopian financial regulations.The successful candidate will support daily accounting activities, tax compliance, audit preparation, andwhile working closely with the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Assist with:
- Bank reconciliations
- Account reconciliations
- Monthly financial reports
- Support tax filing activities and ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Support budget tracking and expense control activities.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Related fields
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Good understanding of financial documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian tax and financial compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Additional Advantage:
- Candidates who have completed an IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) course are highly encouraged to apply.
