Job Description
The Advisor will support financial institutions and businesses by developing financial solutions, improving lending practices, and strengthening the overall financial ecosystem in Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities
Advisory Services
- Conduct market assessments to identify barriers to finance
- Advise financial institutions on improving products and services
- Support development and rollout of innovative financial solutions
- Train financial institution staff on new financial products
- Support companies to become investment-ready and creditworthy
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage consultants and monitor deliverables
- Develop and track project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate with stakeholders including financial institutions and regulators
- Build partnerships with public and private sector actors
Job Requirements
Education
Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in:
- Financial advisory services
- Access to finance programs
- Working with financial institutions
- Experience in equity finance is an advantage
- International work experience is a plus
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Strong IT skills (MS Office, Teams, presentations)
Language
Excellent command of English and Amharic
