Job Description

The Advisor will support financial institutions and businesses by developing financial solutions, improving lending practices, and strengthening the overall financial ecosystem in Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities

Advisory Services

  • Conduct market assessments to identify barriers to finance
  • Advise financial institutions on improving products and services
  • Support development and rollout of innovative financial solutions
  • Train financial institution staff on new financial products
  • Support companies to become investment-ready and creditworthy

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage consultants and monitor deliverables
  • Develop and track project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including financial institutions and regulators
  • Build partnerships with public and private sector actors

Job Requirements

Education

Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in:
  • Financial advisory services
  • Access to finance programs
  • Working with financial institutions
  • Experience in equity finance is an advantage
  • International work experience is a plus

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, Teams, presentations)

Language

Excellent command of English and Amharic
