Assistant Teachers – Bethlehem Youth Academy

Job Summary

Bethlehem Youth Academy is seeking dedicated and dependable Assistant Teachers to support lead teachers and contribute to a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidates will assist with classroom management, student activities, learning materials, attendance and student records, and the overall care and development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers with classroom management and daily classroom activities.
• Assist with distribution of learning materials and classroom arrangement.
• Support young students with personal care, safety, transitions, and group participation.
• Help maintain student tracking records, attendance logs, and portfolio information.
• Foster a warm, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assist teachers in ensuring students participate actively in learning activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support student development.
• Follow school policies and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience

🎓 Education:
Applicants may have:

• Diploma
• Certificate
• BA
• BSc
• B.Ed.
• Degree in any field of study

💼 Experience Requirements:

• Degree holders: 1 year of experience as an assistant teacher in a private school.
• Diploma holders: 2 years of experience.
• Certificate holders: 4 years of experience.

• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
• High dependability and responsibility.
• Positive customer-service orientation toward students and staff.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work patiently with young students.
• Familiarity with educational platforms such as e-learning software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of educational planning, management, school leadership, or educational administration is an advantage.

Salary

💰 Minimum Gross Salary: ETB 12,000
