Job Description
Liyu Microfinance Institution S.C. (LMFI) is seeking a qualified and experienced Attorney to join its team at the Head Office in Addis Ababa. The Attorney will provide legal advice, ensure compliance with regulations, and support LMFI’s operations in alignment with national laws and institutional policies. This position is critical in safeguarding the organization’s legal and regulatory interests
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma (TVET 10+4) or LLB in Law or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in a relevant legal position.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian legal framework and microfinance regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to provide timely legal advice to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on contracts, agreements, and institutional policies.
- Review and draft legal documents to ensure compliance with Ethiopian law.
- Support risk management and dispute resolution processes.
- Ensure institutional compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with management to address legal and regulatory challenges.
