Job Description
The Manager will oversee commodity management systems, support audit processes, ensure compliance, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment & Compliance
- Conduct compliance reviews and identify control gaps
- Develop monitoring tools and improve internal systems
- Prepare reports with recommendations for process improvement
- Ensure alignment with donor and organizational policies
Audit & Liaison
- Serve as focal point for internal and external audits
- Coordinate audit preparation and follow-up actions
- Ensure closure of audit findings and prevent recurrence
Capacity Building
- Identify skill gaps and organize training programs
- Develop training materials and support staff development
- Orient new staff on systems and procedures
Food & Commodity Management
- Monitor shipment, delivery, and distribution of commodities
- Track vessel status and ensure timely clearance
- Handle claims for shortages or damages
- Maintain inventory accuracy and reporting
Coordination & Operations
- Work with logistics, warehouse teams, and partners
- Support field teams and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain strong working relationships across departments
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Agriculture, Natural Resources, Rural Development, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience, preferably in NGOs
- Experience with RFSA programs is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Excellent coordination and multitasking ability
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High integrity and professionalism
Language
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
