The company exports sesame, oilseeds and spices and imports home supply materials, particularly media electronics, from international markets.

Job Summary

K.Mikedem is seeking a trustworthy, accurate and customer-focused Cashier to handle customer transactions and provide fast, friendly and professional service.

The Cashier will be responsible for processing cash, card and mobile-money payments, maintaining accurate transaction records, handling refunds and exchanges, and ensuring the cashier area is organized and properly managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them with purchases.
• Scan products and process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, card and mobile-money payments.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked cashier area.
• Count cash at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Identify and report cash discrepancies.
• Follow company procedures regarding payments, discounts and promotions.
• Respond to customer questions politely and professionally.
• Escalate customer issues when necessary.
• Maintain daily transaction records.
• Assist with stock checks and basic customer service activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Business Administration, Management or a related field.

Experience

• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Customer service or cashier experience is an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Trustworthy and responsible when handling cash.
• Basic computer and POS knowledge.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays when required.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a busy customer-facing environment.
