Job Description
Mega Lab PLC is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Cleaner to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across its laboratory facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that laboratory work areas, sample collection desks, waiting rooms, restrooms, and common areas remain clean and safe while following applicable health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect laboratory working areas, sample collection desks, waiting rooms, and restrooms daily.
- Handle, segregate, and dispose of medical and biohazardous waste safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain adequate supplies of soap, hand sanitizers, paper towels, and cleaning reagents across all facilities.
- Keep floors, windows, and common areas clean, orderly, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Promptly report broken equipment, facility maintenance needs, and safety hazards to laboratory supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Completion of Grade 10 or Grade 12.
- Experience: No prior work experience required.
- Relevant work experience is an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Understanding of safe cleaning practices and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to handle and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Reliability, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow workplace health and safety instructions.
