Job Description
The Deputy Head will support the management, preservation, organization, and accessibility of records related to electoral activities and help ensure continuity of institutional memory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the creation, organization, and preservation of electoral records.
- Facilitate access to historical records and institutional knowledge.
- Support continuity of institutional memory through knowledge-management practices.
- Oversee archival and digital records management activities.
- Support archival projects and preservation initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and responsible stewardship of historical materials.
Qualifications & Experience
- MA or PhD in:
- Library Science
- Management
- Related fields
- Experience:
- 9 years for Master's degree holders
- 7 years for PhD holders
- At least 4 years in a leadership role
Additional Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of archival standards, metadata schemas, and preservation techniques for physical and digital records.
- Proficiency in archival software and digital asset management systems.
- Strong research and historical research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to manage archival projects from conception to completion.
- Strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
