Design Engineer (II) – Bahti Engineering PLC

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare foundation and geotechnical engineering designs for construction projects.
• Develop technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation.
• Conduct engineering analysis and provide technical recommendations.
• Support tender preparation and project estimation activities.
• Provide technical input during construction implementation.
• Review project requirements and propose appropriate engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in design reviews and improvement activities.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Support construction teams with design-related clarifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in:

• Geotechnical Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Related fields

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Foundation design
  • Geotechnical engineering design
  • Structural/foundation engineering works

Technical Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one geotechnical design software:
  • PLAXIS
  • GEO5
  • Equivalent engineering design software

⭐ Registration or eligibility for registration with the Ethiopian Engineers Association is an added advantage.

Required Skills

• Strong foundation engineering knowledge.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and analysis.
• Good technical drawing and documentation skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical ability.
• Knowledge of construction management practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
