Job Description

Mary Joy Ethiopia is seeking a dynamic Diaspora Engagement & IT Support Officer to strengthen engagement with Ethiopian diaspora communities while providing essential IT support to internal teams. The role combines digital communication, social media outreach, and hands-on technical support to enhance organizational visibility, connectivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Diaspora Engagement & Digital Outreach

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize diaspora communities.
  • Manage and grow organizational presence across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Create engaging and audience-specific digital content for diaspora networks.
  • Design and execute digital advertising campaigns promoting initiatives and events.
  • Monitor analytics and prepare performance reports on outreach impact.

IT Support

  • Provide basic IT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain office IT systems and ensure smooth operation of digital tools.
  • Support staff with routine technical issues and system maintenance.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management and diaspora engagement.
  • Strong IT troubleshooting skills (hardware, software, and basic networking).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
