Job Description
Job SummaryThe Dispatch Supervisor will oversee transport dispatch and fleet coordination activities, ensuring efficient scheduling, smooth transportation operations, timely deliveries, and effective coordination of drivers and vehicles.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch and transport operations.
- Plan and monitor vehicle and fleet schedules.
- Coordinate drivers and ensure timely deployment of vehicles.
- Monitor transportation activities and resolve operational challenges.
- Use GPS tracking and other dispatch systems to monitor fleet movements.
- Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles and transport resources.
- Monitor compliance with dispatch procedures and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain dispatch and operational reports.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Identify operational problems and provide timely solutions.
- Supervise dispatch-related activities and support team performance.
- Ensure deadlines and service requirements are consistently met.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- BA Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in transport dispatch, fleet coordination, or logistics operations.
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Fleet scheduling
- GPS tracking
- Dispatch planning
- Transport operations
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
