Job Description

Positive Action for Development (PAD) is seeking qualified and motivated Field Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Officers to support the implementation of humanitarian and development programs in crisis-affected areas. The officer will collect and analyze data, track performance indicators, prepare monitoring reports, and contribute

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring & Data Management

  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, checklists, and data collection systems aligned with project objectives.
  • Collect, verify, and manage beneficiary and project performance data.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, database management, and secure record archiving.

Project Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Conduct regular field monitoring to track progress against project outputs and outcomes.
  • Review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports from project teams.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of project data and reports.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Analyze monitoring data and generate evidence to support project decision-making.
  • Prepare periodic monitoring and performance reports for program leadership.
  • Provide analytical updates on project indicators, outcomes, and overall performance.

Learning & Capacity Building

  • Facilitate project review meetings, learning sessions, and supportive supervision.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Identify staff capacity gaps in monitoring and evaluation and support training or mentoring activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is considered an advantage.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, research, or learning within humanitarian or development programs.
  • Previous experience working with NGOs is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, Kobo/ODK, SPSS, STATA, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of results-based management, indicators, and logical frameworks.

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in field settings and collaborate with local communities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to remote areas.
