Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Control

• Lead annual budgeting and long-term financial planning.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure effective cost control and financial efficiency.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper accounting records in line with IFRS standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.

Operations & Risk Management

• Oversee payroll approvals and vendor payments.
• Supervise procurement-related financial transactions.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and strengthen internal controls.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Leadership & Systems Development

• Mentor and supervise finance team members.
• Improve accounting systems and financial procedures.
• Ensure accurate ERP/Peachtree system utilization.

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing.
• Experience in manufacturing, agro-processing, or import-export sectors is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian financial regulations and taxation.
• Familiarity with IFRS standards.
• Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Peachtree and other ERP financial systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
