Job Description
The Finance Manager will oversee the company’s financial operations and ensure strong financial control, accurate reporting, and full compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations. This role requires solid leadership, analytical ability, and hands-on experience in financial management within a structured business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, Ministry of Revenues regulations, and IFRS standards.
Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and stakeholders.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop and manage budgets.
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial forecasts to support decision-making.
Audit Coordination
Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure smooth audit processes.
Risk Management
Analyze financial data to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
Job Requirements
Education
BA or MA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Peachtree, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
- Strong MS Excel and E-Tax system experience.
- Deep understanding of Ethiopia’s tax laws and IFRS.
- Strong communication skills.
Certification
ACCA certification is an advantage.
