Forklift Truck Operator – HEINEKEN Ethiopia

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Move goods between warehouses, production areas, loading and unloading areas.
• Load and unload trucks according to warehouse procedures.
• Supply production and packaging departments with required materials.
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report defects.
• Maintain forklift equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety, 5S, quality, and warehouse procedures.
• Support inventory counts and warehouse audits.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure goods are moved according to their weight, size, fragility, and safety requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and TPM activities.
• Maintain proper records of equipment and warehouse activities.

Requirements

Education: TVET background or completed high school.

Experience & Skills:

• At least 1 year of logistics experience.
• Valid forklift driver’s license/certificate is mandatory.
• Local language proficiency.
• Experience with barcode scanners, handheld terminals, or RF devices is an advantage.
