Job Description
The Graphic Design Assistant will support the design, production, and publication of high-quality United Nations communication materials, including reports, books, brochures, conference documents, infographics, promotional materials, and digital publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design publications, brochures, reports, conference materials, posters, and promotional products.
- Develop creative graphic concepts for UN conferences, campaigns, and events.
- Produce infographics and data visualizations to communicate complex information effectively.
- Prepare print-ready and accessible digital publication files.
- Ensure compliance with UN branding, typography, accessibility, and publishing standards.
- Review proofs and coordinate printing and publication production.
- Work closely with editors, proofreaders, production teams, and clients throughout publication projects.
- Support website and communication material updates.
- Assist with data visualization, reporting, and knowledge-sharing materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma in Graphic Design or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in:
- Graphic Design
- Publication Design
- Editorial Layout
- Desktop Publishing
- Print Production
- Digital Publication Production
Desirable experience includes:
- Reports, books, brochures, conference documentation, and promotional materials.
- Infographics and data visualization.
- Accessible digital publications and interactive PDFs.
