Job Description
Saglan Wajee General Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Health Information Technician to manage, organize, and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of patient health records. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of data quality and supporting hospital reporting systems.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, register, and file patient records systematically for easy retrieval.
- Ensure completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality of patient medical records.
- Classify and index patient records appropriately.
- Support the preparation of morbidity and mortality statistics.
- Compile, verify, and summarize hospital service statistics (outpatient, inpatient, laboratory, maternity, pharmacy, etc.).
- Prepare periodic reports for hospital management and the Ministry of Health (HMIS/DHIS2).
- Support data validation and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: TVET Level IV in Health Information System, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Knowledge of HMIS/DHIS2 systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and data integrity.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
