Job Description
Kifiya Financial Technologies is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to provide strategic and operational HR support to assigned business units.
The HR Business Partner will work closely with managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and workforce planning to performance management, employee relations, talent development, and organizational change.
The role will translate business needs into practical HR solutions while ensuring compliance with company policies and Ethiopian labor law. The successful candidate will combine strong business partnering, advisory, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership & HR Advisory
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned business units.
- Advise managers on workforce planning, employee performance, people-related decisions, and organizational changes.
- Translate business needs into practical HR solutions aligned with company policies and labor requirements.
- Partner with leadership to address people and organizational challenges.
Workforce Planning & Recruitment
- Support headcount planning, role clarity, and organizational alignment.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for assigned business units.
- Coordinate requisition initiation, role scoping, candidate assessment, and hiring manager engagement.
- Review and validate job descriptions.
- Participate in interview panels when required.
- Ensure recruitment decisions comply with internal governance, equity, and quality standards.
- Monitor recruitment progress, identify bottlenecks, and escalate recruitment risks proactively.
Performance Management & Capability Development
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and probation assessments.
- Coach managers on performance improvement plans and employee development.
- Identify skills and capability gaps within assigned teams.
- Support learning and development initiatives.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure employee relations processes are consistent with organizational policies and Ethiopian labor law.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and performance-oriented workplace culture.
HR Policy & Operations Oversight
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, procedures, and controls.
- Work with People Operations Associates to ensure accurate documentation and timely HR service delivery.
- Maintain accurate HR information and employee records.
- Contribute to people analytics, HR reporting, and workforce insights.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master's Degree in HR, Management, or Organizational Development is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 4.5–8 years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience in HR business partnering or a generalist HR role is preferred.
- Experience supporting managers and teams in dynamic and fast-growing organizations.
- Exposure to technology, operations, or project-based environments is an advantage.
