Job Description

Bethlehem Youth Academy is hiring a Junior ICT Teacher to deliver practical and up-to-date computer education across grade levels. The successful candidate will combine classroom teaching with practical technology support, help maintain the school's computer laboratory and basic network operations, and promote digital learning and innovation among students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical computer literacy and ICT lessons across grade levels.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with school and national curriculum requirements.
  • Provide hands-on learning activities to strengthen students' digital and computer skills.
  • Maintain and monitor computer laboratory hardware and software.
  • Support software licensing and basic network operations.
  • Troubleshoot common computer and technology-related issues.
  • Support digital integration initiatives for teachers and administrative systems.
  • Introduce innovative technology-focused student clubs, coding activities, and enrichment programs.
  • Provide after-school academic and technical support to students.
  • Participate in INSET training and other professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school management to improve digital learning.
  • Encourage responsible, creative, and effective use of technology among students.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • BSc Degree in ICT, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Experience:

  • 5–10 years of teaching experience in private schools.
  • Experience delivering practical computer/ICT education is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of ICT and computer science.
  • Good practical troubleshooting and technology support skills.
  • Familiarity with educational platforms such as e-learning software.
  • Ability to support basic computer laboratory and network operations.
  • Innovative and technology-oriented mindset.

  • Strong student engagement and classroom management abilities.
