Junior Science Teachers – Bethlehem Youth Academy

Key Responsibilities

• Teach core science subjects using interactive and student-centered teaching methods.
• Develop practical lessons, student-led projects, and foundational laboratory activities.
• Prepare students for regional examinations through regular quizzes, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Identify students who need additional support and provide after-school academic assistance.
• Provide enrichment activities for advanced learners.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with school and national curriculum requirements.
• Collaborate with other science department teachers to coordinate lesson plans and learning milestones.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate in INSET training and professional development activities.
• Support students' academic, personal, and overall development.
• Contribute to school activities and extracurricular programs where required.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• BSc or B.Ed. in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Experience:

• 5–10 years of teaching experience in a private school.
• Proven experience preparing students for regional examinations.
• Experience with practical and experiential science learning is highly desirable.

• Fluent in English with the ability to conduct classroom instruction effectively.

Salary & Employment

• Minimum Gross Salary: ETB 20,500
