Job Description
Bethlehem Youth Academy is hiring Junior Science Teachers to deliver engaging and practical science education while supporting students' academic achievement and overall development. The successful candidates will teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics using interactive and student-centered approaches, prepare learners for regional examinations, and provide additional academic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core science subjects using interactive and student-centered teaching methods.
- Develop practical lessons, student-led projects, and foundational laboratory activities.
- Prepare students for regional examinations through regular quizzes, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Identify students who need additional support and provide after-school academic assistance.
- Provide enrichment activities for advanced learners.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with school and national curriculum requirements.
- Collaborate with other science department teachers to coordinate lesson plans and learning milestones.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Participate in INSET training and professional development activities.
- Support students' academic, personal, and overall development.
- Contribute to school activities and extracurricular programs where required.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- BSc or B.Ed. in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
Experience:
- 5–10 years of teaching experience in a private school.
- Proven experience preparing students for regional examinations.
- Experience with practical and experiential science learning is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Fluent in English with the ability to conduct classroom instruction effectively.
- Strong student engagement and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
